Conclusion:  Purple absorbs faster under these conditions.

Quarter inch more has grown so far.

Quarter inch more has grown so far.

Observations

Green
The green food coloring absorbed one half inch.

Orange
It looks like it didn't absorbed any.

Celery Science - My Hypothesis

My project is about how food coloring is absorbed by celery.

Hypothesis:
I think that the green coloring will be absorbed faster than the orange or pink.

Scenario:
Three cups of food coloring each with a stalk of celery.  I will take a picture every day at 6:00 PM PST for four days to demonstrate the progress of my experiment.  I will report in inches the rate of absorption.

DAY ZERO


Today I inserted the stalks of celery into the cups of food coloring.  The colors are Green, orange and pink.  Here is a picture.
